Project Type

Midtown, NYC

The site for this new proposed 12-story new residential condominium offers an extraordinary contrast of high-rise neighbors and a low-rise, renowned landmark directly opposite, all in the heart of the heart of the city. The project’s multi-national development team sees the centrality of its location as attractive to a community of business people. The common lobby reflects the contrast of high and low, light and dark, found in the immediate context. It presages the compositional boldness of each single-floor unit, conceived as a series of spaces that alternate a sense of enclosure from dark wood walls with an openness to unexpectedly sweeping views, signaled by white stone and plaster.
